Frequently asked questions

Is my financial data safe?

Your financial data is stored in your browser, not our database. It's only sent to our secure servers when you use AI features (like generating your Priority Stack) — encrypted in transit, never sold, and never used for ads. On Pro, cloud sync encrypts your data with AES-256 in your browser before it's uploaded. We keep the key with your account so you can restore on a new device, so we could technically decrypt it — our systems never do.

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. You can manually enter your info during onboarding, or export a CSV/OFX file from your bank and upload it. Optional bank connections are coming soon and will be available on Pro.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription. You can cancel anytime through the Stripe billing portal. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. This permanently removes all your data. For paid users, it also cancels your subscription.

Is Sequa financial advice?

No. Sequa is an educational tool that helps you prioritize financial actions. It is not financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional for personalized guidance.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Go to Settings → Your Data → Download My Data. You can export as JSON (complete) or CSV (spreadsheet-friendly).

What happens if I clear my browser data?

On the free plan, your data is stored locally and will be lost if you clear browser data. Upgrade to Pro for encrypted cloud backup across all your devices.

How do I get a new Priority Stack?

Free users get one Stack generation. Pro users can regenerate anytime. Your Stack also updates automatically through monthly check-ins.
